Trail Etiquette

Although we are racing, the PRIORITY is to maintain trail access

YEILD TO EVERYONE; hikers, bikers, horses & dogs get the right of way (If you encounter traffic, respectfully get off the trail until safe to continue)

Be alert around corners

Traffic is part of racing on public trails (Consider riding busier trails on weekdays or during off peak hours)

Be Respectful to Others, Especially Law Enforcement

Be an ambassador for Onewheel. Make good decisions when interacting with the public. Spread the stoke; smiling & saying hello goes a long way. Respect environment and wildlife.

Do Not Block Trail

Move yourself, personal items, & Onewheel off the trail during breaks

Do Not Litter

Pack out trash & pick up after others

Leave No Trace

If you accidentally peel out or leave a dug out area, fill it as best as possible

Ride Dirt, Not Mud

Stay off muddy trails

Falls

If you fall or have someone slow you down on the trail, call it a practice & restart when you can do so safely

Stops

Do not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above

Know the Trail

Learn the route before racing

Directional Trails

Make sure you are going the correct way on directional trails

Racing During Busy Times

Bring a partner or group to monitor traffic with spotters during busy times

Be courteous to other riders

Pass only when it is safe

Stay On the Trail

Do not ride off the trails

Contact Trail Ambassador of any Problems

Remember that the community is watching. We understand that some people are difficult to deal with. If you encounter a problem at one of the segments, please post it in the Facebook group or contact the local Trail Ambassador ASAP so we can get in front of the situation. If there is an etiquette violation that comes to our attention without prior knowledge, the rider(s) could be disqualified for that day or banned permanently.

Consider volunteering to maintain, repair and support our local trails
