Parking
Enter McDougal Lake from Stiles Ford Road. At the boat put-in, follow the gravel road to the left.
You’ll see a kiosk and parking area for the trailhead.
This spot is quiet and scenic — perfect for chill laps and a “reset ride.”
Crowds
Low. This is generally a quiet area with minimal trail traffic.
Trail Access
Use the grass trail to cross by the lake and over the dam, then access the trails to the left.
Go left again at the first split in the Big Woods trail.

No power at the gravel lake parking lots.
Arrive with a full battery.
